Mount Everest towers above Khumbu at over 8,848m and is perhaps the most iconic symbol of challenge and adventure. At Base camp, stand face-to-face with the famous Khumbu ice fall and beyond. This trek gives you a grand tour of the famous Khumbu valley. It is a strenuous route leading to Cholapass 5430m and Gokyo lakes. Gokyo Ri and Gokyo lakes trek is a beautiful journey to the enticing Gokyo lakes and Gokyo Ri which is a very amazing viewpoint for great views of Mt. Everest and massive Ngozzumpa Glacier and many other mountains.

Itinerary preview
Day 1
A spectacular 30-minute flight gives us the first view of the mountains. An easy 4-hour walk through alpine forest and along the Dudh Koshi river takes us to Phakding, our first destination.
Day 2
This day we walk to Namche Bazaar (3440 m), the main centre of the Solu Khumbu region. The walk is about 4 to 5 hours and includes some steady climbing. Also this day we walk through alpine forest and we might spot pheasants, the national bird of Nepal.
Day 3
Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. We walk up to Syangboche and Khumjung (3780 m) where we have our first view of Ama Dablam and Mt. Everest. A visit can be brought to the Hillary School and the hospital in Khunde.
Day 4
Today Tengboche (3860 m) is our destination. A gradual walk takes us to Tesing (3380 m) where we have lunch followed by a 2-hour climb. We walk through juniper and rhododendron forest and there is a possibility we see a group of tahr (Himalayan goat). In the afternoon we visit the famous gompa (Buddhist monastery) where we can attend the chanting ceremony of the monks.
