Sacred lakes and remote villages enter into the spectacular living geology of the Langtang region with its sacred lakes and remote villages. Stunning glacial valleys and breathtaking snowy white peaks of Mt Langtang and Ganash Himal range await you along this 7-10 day adventure. The trail ascends through lush oak and rhododendron forests. You will stay in the charming villages of Langtang (3,300m) and Kyangjin (3,700m). Kyangjin has a monastery and a cheese factory with delicious yoghurt. It is possible to make several side treks from these villages. Depending on your time you can combine this adventure with the Gosainkund Lake (4,380m) and Helambu trek to have a full two week trek.

Day 1

Kathmandu (1300m) - Syabrubesi (1460m)

On our first day, we take a bus from Kathmandu in the early morning in direction of Syabrubesi. The drive from Trisuli is on a very dusty road. We therefore recommend taking a mask to avoid breathing the dusty air.

Day 2

Syabrubesi (1460m) - Lama hotel (2340m)

We begin our walk through the old Syabru village, then walk uphill all the way to the Lama Hotel. A lunch break will be taken on the way, in Bamboo.

Day 3

Lama hotel (2340m) - Langtang village (3330m)

Today starts with a gradual uphill walk through the rhododendron forest all the way to Ghora Tabela. Depending on the walking pace of the group we either stop in Ghora Tabela or in Thansap for lunch, before continuing our gradual uphill walk to Langtang village (3330m). Langtang village is the biggest village in the Langtang National Park.

Day 4

Today starts with a gradual uphill walk through the rhododendron forest all the way to Ghora Tabela. Depending on the walking pace of the group we either stop in Ghora Tabela or in Thansap for lunch, before continuing our gradual uphill walk to Langtang village (3330m). Langtang village is the biggest village in the Langtang Conservation Area.
